Hi all,
seems the largest power supply for a IE3300 is a 480W. If an AP1562 outdoor AP needs 32W, does that mean the IE3300 has a limit of 15 POE devices?
other question. It seems the IE3000 power supplies have two DC outs. Does that mean you can power two IE3300’s with one PSU unit?

we eventually got in touch with the Product team for the industrial ethernet portfolio, because the Data Sheet was very confusion.
Although the Data Sheet mentions explicitly that the POE/Power budget is 480W, the biggest power supply for the IE3300 is 480W. This means you need to subtract the power needed by the actual base switch (42W) and the Module (16P module = 21W), this means you have an available power budget of 480-63 = 417W. IF there would be a 560W power supply, you would get the full 480W for POE

Hi,
It appears that the 480W is shared across all 24 ports. So, you are correct. If you use outdoor APs, you can only power up 15 devices. If you use a combination of indoor and outdoor APs, then you can probably power up more devices as indoor ones don't require as much power. It does not appear so, but I would also make sure that this AP does not require UPOE.

As long as you get the correct module, IEM-3300-16P, and up to 16 ports are capable of supporting 30.0 w.
Take note that the 1562I requires >32.0 w. IT will still work on 25.0 w PoE but the power is cranked down.
