%ILPOWER-3-CONTROLLER_PORT_ERR: Controller port error

Hi All,

We are using 3560X-48 port switch with IOS version 15.0(2)SE6. We are facing an issue as given below, with the interface connected to POE supported IP Phone.

" %ILPOWER-3-CONTROLLER_PORT_ERR: Controller port error, Interface Gi0/7: Power Controller reports power Tstart error detected"

I have tried to resolve the issue by followed the below procedure, but no luck.

Switch(config)# int gi0/7
Switch(config-if)# power inline port 2x-mode
Switch(config-if)# shut
Switch(config-if)# no shut

--------Not Worked-------------------

Switch(config-if)# no power inline auto

Switch(config-if)# power inline consumption 15400

Switch(config-if)# shut

Switch(config-if)# no shut

--------Not worked-------------------

Please help me to resolve this issue with possible solutions.

Hi

is there enough power available --show power inline

what type of phone is it

is it the same on another port to rule out cabling as the issue or if you directly connect to the switch bypass any patch panels

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your response.

Please find the attached, for power status and logs generated from switchport connected to the IP Phone.

We are using the IP Phone model CISCO 303.

We have directly connected the IP Phone to switchport for testing to bypass the patch panel. But still, the issue remains same as early.

Please help us.
