Implications of enabling EIGRP

Not applicable

Hi all,

I'm in the process of migrating core switches at one of our sites to replacement hardware.

Relating to the attached diagram I'm keen to understand the implications of enabling EIGRP on the new 'core'. Primarily at this moment in time the purpose is in order to get a default route (and maintain all available paths, thus ruling our static routes). I am running OSPF between the firewalls and the switches so therefore it would be beneficial to exchange all routes, as I did consider using a distribute list to just learn the default.

Vlan 10 & Vlan 99 are already running EIGRP 100.

If I enable vlan 9 as an active EIGRP interface is there anything I need to watch out for?

Looking at the existing configuration I can't see any changing of route preference. I can only assume this is done by the ISP of the managed routers as both routers are 100/100mbps.

Please feel free to ask any questions. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Neil

Are all appliances Cisco appliances, or are you intermixing appliances?
