Catalyst 2K & 3K switch do not support "boot-start-marker".

This means the switch will only boot one specified IOS.  If the specified IOS cannot be read then the switch will boot the first IOS file found in the flash, from top to bottom.  If the IOS cannot be read then the switch will go into ROMmon.

This is how it works.

Hi Leo Laohoo,

Thanks for your suggestion, everything this clear but i have one confusion, If its not support "Boot-start-marker"then why its showing in "Show running" command

#sh runn

!
boot-start-marker
boot-end-marker
!
