Inexpensive switch to connect 1Gig MM fiber

My client has MM fiber running from IDF "A" to IDF "B", then from "B" to IDF "C".  For IDF B, no user connections are needed, only the MM fiber.  What would the community recommend for a Cisco switch to sit in IDF B?  Initial thoughts are a 2960C or 3400G.  Any other ideas?

How many fiber ports and what speed do you need?  If you need up to a pair with just layer-2 functions, then 2960 is good.  If you need more then that then 3750 with 24 port fiber SFP.

Just two ports needed at 1Gig.  Basically the fiber runs from location A through location B to location C.  We just need a switch in the location B IDF to connect A to C.  No user connectivity is needed in B.

If that is the case, then you can get a"2960S-24TS-L"  this will give you 24 port 10/100/1000 copper ports and and 4 1Gig SFP ports.

Or you can get WS-C3560-8PC-S.  This will give you 8 port copper and 2 port fiber SFP for uplinks

You can also look into getting media converters and use it with your existing switches.
