Hello all,
I am getting ready to stack a pair of 2960-X switches and I just had a quick question. One of these switches(switch A) has been configured for some time and has run out of available ports(hence the stacking). the second switch (switch B) is a clean config. Once I get switch B connected with stacking cables, do I still require an ethernet link between the two switches to pass data or will the stacking cables act as pass throughs that pass all traffic through and out the trunks already configured on switch A?

The stack cables will take care of it, no need to connect via copper
