I am looking for a minimal baseline switch configuration to use setting up a set of switches.
The process now is to reset the switch to factory defaults, assign an ip address with switch/telnet password. Then telnet to the switch and manually enter commands to set up ssh/scp. Secure copy a baseline switch configuration file to startup-config. Finally, secure shell login to the switch and copy startup-config running-config. This is repeated for a chain of about a dozen switches.
Is there a simpler solution? What is a minimal set of startup-config entries?
