We currently have a Cisco 3750x 24port Switch in place but are now going to replace this with a 48port 3750x
what are the best practice to replace the old Switch could i copy the running config file and place it into the new Switch or would creating a VTP Server on the Old Switch and Client on the new switch be better ?
thanks for the help.

Neither.
Stack the 48-port switch to the 24-port switch.

When you are talking about Stacking will this allow the master to push the vlans to the Slave and then would this allow us to take out the old Cisco Switch ?

Push ALL the relevant configurations to the new 48-port switch.
and then would this allow us to take out the old Cisco Switch ?
Correct.
