Hi,
We have the datacenter network as the attached image.
Description:
+ VSS-CORE:
2 switches: WS-C4506-E
Sup: WS-X45-SUP8-E
IOS: 03.06.03.E
VLAN: 151
+ VSS-SRV:
2 switches: WS-C4510R+E
Sup: WS-X45-SUP8-E
IOS: 03.06.03.E
VLAN: 143
+ The 2 VSS connected using 1 layer 3 port channel and EIGRP routing
+ Everything is OK except port Gi2/7/41 on VSS-SRV:
-PC connected to this port can ping to its gateway, but it CANNOT ping VLAN on VSS-CORE.
-If we move this PC to other ports (for example Gi2/7/40) with the same port configurations and same IP address, all PINGs are OK.
* If PC connected to non-working port (Gi2/7/41) and we shutdown 1 port from VSS-SRV to VSS-CORE (Te1/5/3
on VSS-SRV), the problem will disappear.
The problem is too weird with us. Could you give me any suggestion?
Thanks in advanced!

Do the two VSS domains have different ID's?
"switch virtual domain xyz"

Hi andreassb,
Thanks for your attention,
We did configure different virtual domain id on the 2 VSS.
VSS-CORE: switch virtual domain 1
VSS-SRV: switch virtual domain 101
Note that the problem happens with only 1 port Gi2/7/41.
