Intermittent ping failure on Cat 6500 - mac address flapping

The inside of the ASA is connected to vlan on cat 6500 ethernet module. I am trying to ping the inside ASA from another host in the same vlan. However, I see breaks in the ping. ICMP is permitted on the inside ASA.

I have noticed that during successful pings, arp table on cat 6500 shows correct mac address of the inside ASA. However, during ping breaks it shows a different mac ddrees against Te2/1 port on 'show mac-address-table' output.

Could someone explain what is the Te2/1 port on Cat6500. Is it something to do with Port channel.

Display:

* 10 000b.fcfe.1b01 dynamic Yes 110 Te2/1

Any reason for irregular shift to the Te2/1 from the actual Gi4/8 port.
