Good day,
I have a lab topology, see below image. Core 1 and Core 2 are L3 Switches that are connected via a port channel, which is also a trunk. They are both running HSRP, and Core 1 is primary/active. I am configured for intervlan routing
There are similar trunks to each access switch. The native VLAN is set across each trunk correctly, and consistently. The SVIs are configured correctly as well, and the HSRP is showing correctly for VIPs, and Core1/2 having the correct statuses.
When I ping from host 1 (VLAN 10), to the SVI HSRP VIP (.250), it's successful. It's also successful to the Core 1 SVI IP itself (.254), however, when I ping to host 2 (VLAN 20), it fails. Host 1 can ping the VLAN 20 SVI just fine. Host 2 can also ping it's VLAN's VIP (.250), and the Core's SVI IP (.254). Host 3 is in VLAN 10, and naturally, the ping from Host 1 to Host 3 is successful. I've done a PCAP on SW1, and Core1, and see the Pings from Host 1 to Host 2, but do not see a response.
Routing is enabled, and I can see the routes in the tables for each VLAN. I've attempted reloads of the switches as well.
What am I missing here?
