Hi, all.
I recently purchased a couple of used Cisco 2611s for a home lab. I know a SmartNet contract is required for IOS updates. Obviously, these devices are end-of-life and I only paid $30 each, so I don't want to spend a huge amount of money for a one-off download. Can anyone please tell me the cheapest support option available that will allow me to download the c2600-ik9o3s3-mz.123-3i.bin file? Any recommended online vendors?
Thanks,
Pete

I doubt there are any vendors that offer (or are even allowed to offer that). I would suggest some "advanced" google searches for the needed files... I can promise you they are out there in vast number... I take no responsibility for the sources you find of course.

Thanks for the suggestion, schaef350.
I actually managed to find c2600-ik9o3s3-mz.123-3a.bin on a server at work, from one of our old 2611s long since replaced. I've been searching, trying to find the difference between 12.3(3a) and 12.3(3i), which is the version on the Cisco web site, but haven't had any luck. Would 3a - 3i just be bug/security fixes?
Thanks,
Pete

Peter,
Don't be too concern about 3a vs 3i. These are just sub-releases mostly for bug fixes and very minor feature set (is any) that you may never need.
Load the IOS you have and play with it and see if you notice any limitation. For home lab use that should be good enough.
