IOS for old Cisco router

Hi, I bought Cisco 2621 router and it starts in rommon mode every time. I found that system image is corupted, where I can download IOS for my router?

The simple answer to your question is that you download IOS images from the Cisco site. But the problem is that to download IOS images you need a current maintenance contract for the router. This is one of the issues with purchase of used equipment, that in general you are not able to get new images for it. Perhaps you can check with where you purchased this router and see if they can do something about it?

I had a similar issue with one of my old cisco switches,  I spoke to a friend of mine who is CCNA/CCNP and he downloaded the correct IOS for my switch as he has access to it all.  That is the problemwhen buying old equipment via eBay or anywhere else, especially when they comewith old IOS that does not support newer commands.
