IOS issue in Cisco 3750 switch

Hi All,

I am upgrading the IOS of Cisco 3750 switch but when i am upgrading the IOS of the switch, its gets completed to 80% but after that it gave the error "Connection to host lost" and the IOS stops and the connection to the switch is lost. And the switch is at the POP location.

Pls help me in this. Need to upgrade the IOS on urgent basis.

Hi,

Before loading the new IOS, make sure you have enough room in your flash card.

"sh flash" will tell you how much space you have in your flash card.

What type of TFTP server software are you using?

Usually, solarwinds TFTP server works well.

Thanks for the reply.,

I  had checke the free memory. Its some where 25mb free space. Its  actually ME switch. So no problem of space. Seems some other issue.  Thats i wanna some suggestions. Also i am using Solarwinds TFTP Server.

   I encountered this issue in the past, couple of advices there.

     1)Issue dir command and make sure you have enough space on flash for the new IOS. Delete the old one if necessary. Do not forget to issue "boot system flash:/newiosname.bin" command after you delete the existing and copy the new IOS.

     2)Try with different TFTP softwares
