IOS SLB Problem

Dear all,

I configured a IOS SLB setup on a 7200 in GNS3 just to learn to work with it.

Everything seems to be fine.

Ping works to the virtual IP (But i see it will be answerd from the SLB Router and not from the real IP)

Routing is working.

show outputs are ok

Now my problem:

when I do a telnet to a real IP (a router) it works

BUT when I do a telnet to the virtual IP it is not working. I configured TCP with "0" that means all Ports are allowed.

I try it from a "PC" with is in a different subnet, like I told routing is ok.

In the tcpdump on the link to the router I see the packets arrive the router, but there is now reply.

any ideas, or are my thoughts of that feature wrong or will just telnet not work it that case?

I read the manuals one again and got the solution!

I forgott the "nat server" comand for the serverfarm configuration

My "vitual IP" is on the same subnet like the real server so this is necessary

Now it is working..

but anyhow...thanks I like that forum
