Hi All,

I need to upgrade my current Cisco IOS  universal-mz.122-52.SE/c3560e-universal-mz.122-52.SE.bin" to

c3560e-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE6.bin.

How to check whether it is compatible or not ?

Thanks Guys !!!

Read the release notes.

And by the way, upgrade to 12.2(55)SE8.  More stable than SE6.

what SE means ?

12.2 = IOS version number

55 = Train

SEn = Revision number.

Haikal (and Leo),

Actually the "SE" also indicates it is an image from the 12.2S IOS release family (or "train" - think major revision) for a mid-low-end Ethenet switch. "55" is the maintenance identifier (minor release level), not the train.

Reference and excerpt:

(12.2SE) "Provides Cisco IOS Software functionality and hardware support for mid-range and low-end Ethernet LAN switching for enterprise access and distribution networks, and mid-range and low-end Metro Ethernet for service provider edge networks that include the Cisco Catalyst 2960 Series, Cisco Catalyst 3550 Series, and Cisco Catalyst 3750 Series Switches.
