I need to upgrade an IOS on a Switch to
on a Sup2/MSFC2.
The Cisco web site recommends
c6k222-ps-mz.122-18.SXD7b.bin
Release Date: 12/Dec/2006
IP LAN ONLY
Size: 25878.11 KB (26499180 bytes)
Minimum Memory: DRAM:256 MB Flash:64 MB
Which DRAM does this refer to?
Is it the supervisor card or the MSFC?
When I do a show version on the Switch I see
cisco WS-C6509 (R7000) processor (revision 3.0) with 112640K/18432K bytes of memory.
Which does this refer to?
Thanks

Hi,
It is physically located on MSFC.
It is MSFC DRAM.
HTH...rate if helpful..

Hi,
Is this definately correct ? I am in the same position and have read on other posts that both the switching module and the msfc need upgrading ? Or is this just a recommendation not a pre-requisite for 12.2 ?
