hi every body

i have question. i can explain better with the help of scenario.

An access point is connected to wired network via fast ethernet (ip address 192.192.192.192). can we configure different ip address for example 194.194.194.194 on bvi interface ?

how does wired network communicates with accesspoint via fast ethernet or bvi interface?

thanks alot and have a nice day !

If the FastEthernet interface has a bridge-group command, the AP will use the BVI for layer3 connectivity.

For instance,

interface fx/x

bridge-group 1

interface BVI1

ip address 194.194.194.194 255.255.255.0
