I have a customer who had already invested heavily in 10/100 IP phones. They are now looking for network refresh with Cisco Catalyst switches to support both data and voice. Since the phone can't support 1Gb, and they want desktop with 1Gb connectivity, I am not sure if we can go with daisy chain configuration. Having a 2 separate ports for each cube will double the port count for each IDF, and won't be cost-effective.
Any other suggestions!

Yes, you have to double the number of ports or replace the phones that support 10/100/1000.
