IP SLA Reachability Issue - Up/Down

Hi All,

I have the following configured and ever since applying it my logs were filling up with messages (also below). Is something amiss in the config causing this or my timer/threshold the issue? From my investigations I don't think the remote IP is ever becoming unreachable and is always up.

Looking at your events, it looks like they work fine for a while. Is the egress point that you use to get to this address getting saturated at all? If so, you may think about using a qos policy to prefer the icmp packets sourced from this router....

Thinking of the design and traffic flow of this setup you may well be onto something there....will look into this in morning and keep you posted.

Try increasing the timeout and frequecny values to see if that helps?

Also are you using this sla with HRSP ?

Under:- track 1 ip sla 1 reachability

Configure:- delay down 5

Sometime the probe gets lost due to bad link or random discard from QoS.

This config will make your router hold for 5 second before considering the host is unreachable.

Change 5 seconds to something suitable to your requirement.
