IP SLA workds on Cisco 1921/K9 or SEC1921/K9 ?

Hello,

We want to puchase new Cisco ISR 1921/K9 .       i want to know does it support the following sample IP-SLA commands

ip sla 2
icmp-echo 172.16.1.2
timeout 500
frequency 1
ip sla schedule 2 life forever start-time now

track 10 rtr 1 reachability

delay down 1 up 1

!

track 20 rtr 2 reachability

delay down 1 up 1

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.1.2 track 10
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 172.16.1.2 track 20

Im asking above question because we will need to enable ip-sla  on  the mentioned router.   as i read on the cisco webside, it says Cisco-ISR-1921/K9-IP Base   support only  IP-SLA RESPONDER  feature nothing else.   so that is why im asking any expert ideas

If  Cisco-1921/K9  does not support the above commands , should i go for ordering    Cisco-1921-SEC/K9 ?

Hi Imran,

I hope you have not checked the Cisco FN link effectively. If you select IOS  & 1921 and press the continue button from the link i have provided which  will take you to next level where in you can give the IOS version and the  licensing option....

Let me paste you the output for diff versions below for an example.

When i select IP base it show only ip sla responder....

When you select data license or security bundle license it shows many ip sla features associated like the below.

Hope this helps. So you need to go for data / security bundle or any other advanced version other than the base.

Hi Imran,

Yes. It seems to be it supports only IP SLA responder with the base license. You can refer the below mentioned feature navigator site to find your required information about the licensing features.

HI Imran,

the Universal software image has its command set limited by the Feature licences installed. the IP SLA command is available in the "Advanced IP Services feature license". You may check which licences you have available with the command "sh licence"

The IP SLA requestor function requires the IP Services license but the IP SLA responder function is available within the IP Base license.

So you need IP Services feature license to use this function!
