Hi.  I have 8 switches in a stack.  3 of them are 3750X with POE.  1 is 3750Gv2 and the rest are 3750v2 10/100.  I have 3 Network modules (

C3KX-NM-1G) for the 3750X's that provide 4 1gbps SFP ports.  Can I install them to the 3750X without taking the whole core switch stack down?

IOS is 12.2(55)SE8.

Thanks.

Hi Keith

This is pulled from the installation notes for those modules:

Although network modules are hot-swappable, we recommend installing a network module before powering the switch.

There is a small risk when removing anything which claims to be hot swappable but I have never had an issue.

I think I recall the -X module slot is NOT hot swapable.  If that's correct, you would only need to power down a stack member, not the whole stack, to add the module card.
