Hi
We have a Cisco 4507R switch with sup V. This switch fan tray has partial problem .No light in fan tray. We got another fan tray. Can any one tells me is it hot swappable?
What procedure should I flow without any interruption our live network?
Would be appreciated if let me know.

Hi Amin,
It is hot-swappable but you have to be very fast with replacement to avoid system overheating. See the Caution note in the guide:
"When changing fan assemblies, try to keep changeover times to under a minute. Never operate the system for an extended period if the fan assembly is removed or if it is not functioning properly. An overtemperature condition can cause severe equipment damage or an unscheduled system shutdown."
Hot-swap feature is confirmed by this guide, table 1-3:
"One hot-swappable fan assembly"
Kind Regards,
Ivan

Hi Amin,
According to the installation guide, the 4507R comes with one fan tray and 6 fans. So, you don't have redundant fan trays. It sounds as you need an outage window to turn off the switch, replace the old fan tray with the new one and turn the switch back on.
Here is the instalation guide:

FAN TRAYS
Each Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series chassis uses a single fan tray for cooling. All fan trays are composed of independent fans. If one fan fails, the system
will continue to operate without a significant degradation in cooling. The system will detect and notify the user (through LED, command-line
interface [CLI], and SNMP) that a fan has failed and the tray needs to be replaced.
