Both ends must have the same speed and the same wavelengths.

One side is 10 Gbps and the opposite end is 1 Gbps. Both ends do not have the same speed, therefore, the link will stay down.

As stated by others for fiber both ends must support the same-fixed speed,

Hello @Moh24100,
Do you check the compatibility matrix regarding your platform ?

- It depends on the interface type on the 6807XL , if it's fiber then the speed is fixed, and there can be no conflicts,

In addition to what the others have already noted, some optical ports, e.g. SFP+, will support different speed optical transceivers, but, usually, the optical transceivers need to be alike on both ends.
