Is PBR supported when processing IPv4 and IPv6 traffic?

While reading the limitation of PBR I've come across the below:

"

Note

This software release does not support PBR when processing IPv4 and IPv6 traffic."

This statement is throughout their configuration guides right up to version 15.0.

I'm reading this right, surely this is a large typo?

Maybe this version has better wording:

This software release does not support Policy-Based Routing (PBR) when forwarding IPv6 traffic. The software supports IPv4 PBR only when the

dual-ipv4-and-ipv6 routing template is configured.

Hi Reza,

If you select Index and then 'P' and client on PBR defined, then my orginal posts still stands.

If does not make sence why Cisco would show how to configure PBR and then place a note staying its not support on ipv4 and ipv6 traffic.

p.s. I only need it for ipv4.

Someone please advise.

John

I see what you mean now. What the statement means is that if the switch is processing both IPv4 and IPv6 then PBR is not supported.

But if the switch is just running IPv4 then yes, absolutely you can configure PBR.
