Is the WS-X6848-TX-2T a “blocking” card?

We are in the beginning phase of migrating to the Cisco VSS architecture.  I am interested in finding out two small but important answers.

The two current Cisco Catalyst 6513 switches use WS-X6548-GE-TX modules.  From reading various post on this forum and other documentation, the WS-X6548-GE-TX module is a “blocking” card and is not designed for use with a Server Farm.  We are experiencing overruns on the ports connected to various servers.

The proposed Cisco Catalyst 6708-XL switches will use WS-X6848-TX-2T modules.  Is the WS-X6848-TX-2T a “blocking” card?  If so, which module/card should we use to connect servers to the 6708-XL?

Catalyst switches are NOT designed to be used for Server Farms.  This kind of "job" falls into the exclusive domain of the Nexus family of switches because the Nexus family of switches have deeper buffers that can withstand the continuous, high-speed traffic by the servers.

You mean 6807 series switches?  If yes, the WS-X6848-TX-2T is not a blocking card, as each slot has 80 Gig capacity.
