Hi,
I am looking for a recommendation for an iSCSI switch. We are looking at a 2 node cluster with a 3rd node. The network is 10Gb with a Dell Unity SAN. We would look to have the 2 switches dedicated to iSCSI with mpio for the redundancy. I know I need high packet buffers with jumbo frames support.
Thanks

Hello,
depending on your budget, you might want to look at the 3550 switches, which are marketed as ultra low latency switches (and are used in trading rooms a lot as far as I know, where microseconds can make a difference).

Thanks Georg - would there be a cheaper one that this. Trading level latency isn't a requirement here.

Hello,
the Nexus 3550 is expensive indeed.
The Catalyst 9200/9300/9400/9500/9600 (depending on how many ports you need) are a lot cheaper, and will probably be plenty sufficient for your purposes.
