HI,
I was going through adjacency options for isis p2p and broadcast network. For broadcast isis have mechanism for three-way handshake
but for point-to-point link there must be p2p three-way handshake TLV present and here is the confusion.
I captured some packets through GNS lab and seen that there is no such TLV present but still it behave like a three-way.
kindly look at packet 8,9,10,11 for attached wireshark capture. Need to know how it hello mechanism work for p2p link.
Regards
Mahesh

you can see that TLV 240 is present in IS-IS Hello packet but it's not carrying the information which should according to RFC 3373, so I would that feature wasn't implemented in that software release

you have to give "isis three-way-handshake ietf" command on interface to have 15byte TLV
Point-to-point Adjacency State (t=240, l=15)
Type: 240
Length: 15
Adjacency State: Up (0)
Extended Local circuit ID: 0x00000100
Neighbor SystemID: 0101.0100.0002
Neighbor Extended Local circuit ID: 0x00000000
