ISM - Wrong Mac Address on ARP Cache

Hello everyone,

I'am facing a strange bug with an ISM-SRE-300-K9 and a Router ISR 2901 Version 15.4(3)M2,

The connection between my ISR and ISM is failling, I can session to it, but I can't ping it, It seems to me a layer 2 problem.

this is the config for the ISM interface:

interface ISM0/0
ip address 10.10.20.1 255.255.255.0
service-module heartbeat-reset disable
service-module ip address 10.10.20.2 255.255.255.0
!Application: Running
service-module ip default-gateway 10.10.20.1

So I was checking the arp table and saw that the mac address entry for the ip of the ISM(10.10.20.2) constanly changes the mac for it,

It Changes between xxx.xxxx.901b and xxxx.xxxx.3961.

when it has xxx.xxxx.901b I can't ping, with xxxx.xxxx.3961 the connection is normal.

I've tried set manual entry arp for this IP: arp 10.10.20.2 xxxx.xxxx.3961 arpa, but it is overwrite seconds after.

I've also tried no arp arpa on the ism0/0 interface, but still happen this.

I would apreciatte your help.

Regards.

What aplication are you running on the ISM-SRE?

what is in the SRE log "service-module sm slot/port log show" it might be trying to continually install an app or something

do you see anything when you go into the CLI of the service module?

HTH

Richard.

Hello Richard,

There is CUE, There is no output for the command service-mgo module ism 0/0 log show,

whe I go to ism CLI, I ses the CUE CLI control.

Is possible disable arp on int ism0/0?

Thanks for your help.
