I have a new ISR 4431 that I'm about to install. Upon reloading it to put the correct IOS-XE version on it, I noticed that there is no output to the console during bootup. Is there a reason for this? Am I missing a configuration on the console line configuration to do this?

Hello,
which terminal emulator (e.g. Putty) are you using ?

SecureCRT
There's no issue once the router finishes reloading. I'm able to get to the console and get the command-line access I need. This just happens during a reload.
I see no output whatsoever until the line "Press RETURN to get started!"

Odd. Traditionally your only options are to use a different baud rate, or try a different emulator (e.g. Putty as suggested). I would start with setting a different baud rate during the boot process. Start with the lowest...

That bug ID sounds more like the clock sync issue that Cisco revealed over a year ago.
It seems as if this might have had to do with my terminal emulator, as the last couple of times I did a reload, the console output was visible.
