Issue with PC CLI

I have an issue with the pc CLI...

When I opened the CLI it displayed :   

Packet Tracer PC Command Line 1.0

C : \>

Instead of:

Packet Tracer PC Command Line 1.0

PC>

I was trying to use the command sh int fa0/0 but since the command displayed was C: \> it was resulting in Invalid syntax.

Please help.

to be honest I have never seen a 'PC>' prompt when using the command prompt. The command prompt is just a DOS prompt, like on any regular PC. You cannot execute 'show' commands from a DOS prompt...

How did you get to the 'PC>' prompt ?
