l2 issue

Hi,

I have the following scenario(toplogy attached )

I have the above topology .  DMZ Is extended  to the data center .

 scenario HOST 1 trying to communicate with host 2  . sometimes it s working fine . sometimes i can see the traffic between host 1 and host 2 is in the extended dmz link to the datacenter . why the traffic has to go to the  l3 interface if the traffic in the same broadcast domain .

Hello ,

Topology is missing in the thread, Based on what you have written i think if both the host are same broadcast domain then they shoudl not an L3 link.

Helpful if you can paste the topology for better understanding.
