I need to configure LACP on some ports on blade 7 and blade8 in my 6509. Blade 7 and 8 are curently configured for PAGP. What command do I need to run to enable only some ports on blade 7 and 8 to talk to LACP, I can't find anything on CCO, all it says that I need to enable module for LACP first, is that correct? I'm afraid to do this becasuse I several ports on these module are talking on PAGP. Please advise.

Hi Nawas,
The default protocol is PAgP and unfortunately you can specify only one protocol, PAgP or LACP, per module.

Thank you for your response, that means I will have to move already configured PAGP port channel to a different blade if I want to use blade 7 for lacp. will configuring lacp break already configured pagp?

Hi Nawas,
Yes you are right you will have to move already configured PAGP port channel to different blade if you want to use blade 7 for lacp.
I will recommend to move PAGP ports to different modules first and then configure LACP on that modul because module only support either PAGP or LACP configuring LACP may break down PAGP configured port channels.
