Hi,
The response time is fluctuating. How to troubleshoot?
ping 10.10.4.3 -n 20
Pinging 10.10.4.3 with 32 bytes of data:

Are you actually experiencing issues between end devices ?
Your round trip average time is good. If this is a ping to the actual switch itself bear in mind that the switch must process this in software because the packet is sent to the actual switch. So it is not always a good indicator of how well the switch is performing in terms of hardware switching packets between connected devices.
Perhaps you could clarify ?

Hi,
Pings are not always a symptom of latency, as the ICMP packets sent on that link are low priority, so actually you might not be facing latency for your data traffic. Please check if you are facing any slowness in data transfer, accessing some devices etc.
Thanks

What kind of device is .3? What's the topology between the two hosts? Does either host have any other traffic than the ping traffic?

10.10.4.3 is a layer 3 switch.
ICMP packets requests arent the highest in priority made sense.
Thanks for the help guys.
