layer 3 routing

Does any one know if this image file has the ability to do layer 3 routing "flash:c3750-ipbase-mz.122-35.SE5/c3750-ipbase-mz.122-35.SE5.bin"

Or do I need to load another image file

Yes, basic layer-3 is supported with this image.  You can run static, RIP and EIGRP Stub with this image.  If you want to run OSPF, ISIS, BGP, etc.. then you need IP services
