Hi every body!
I just want to know when a port places in listening state in rstp.
I was reading about sync operation but it only tells how the port is put in forwarding state once the agreement is received.

Hi Sarah,
In that case it directly transitions from discarding to learning. (eg:newly elected RP etc)

Hi Sarah,
RSTP combines the disabled, blocking and listening states in 802.1D to a state known as discarding.
