License upgrade from evaluation to SEC-k9 cisco 3925

Hi all,

I need some help and clarification about upgrading license from evaluation to Advamced Enterprise Service on Cisco ISR 3925.

The thing i have done is for testingt some feature i have activated the Evaluation license by enabling datak9 feature as below.

RTR(config)#license accept end user agreement

RTR(config)#license boot module c3900 technology-package datak9

And it was working fine and the evaluation periode is for 8 weeks

Actually we get the new license for Advanced enterprise L-SL-39-SEC-k9 from CISCo Licensing and applied it following the instruction from Cisco licensing tha i will show below.

But i'm wondering that when i checked the license information i'm still are in EVALUATION license.

Here are the command i did to apply the new license file:

My Router version is below:

Cisco IOS Software, C3900 Software (C3900-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.4(3)M2, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)

RTR#copy tftp flash:

RTR#license install flash:sec-k9_license.lic

RTR(config)#license boot module  technology-package  disable datak9

RTR# reload

After reloading the the router and checking the License feature i'm still noticing that the license information is still in Evaluation not permanent.

Can someone help me in what to do to upgrade from Evaluation licence to permanent. Is there anything wrong i did in my license upgrade or something missing.

Hi Raitsarevo,

Your securityk9 license shows that " License State: Active, In Use" means you have activated it successfully. Evaluation status would become permanent after the grace period of the Eval license

You could check the duration, if you run the following show command

show license detail securityk9

Thank you for the replay, you are effectively right because after applying the datak9 and uck9 that we have purchased they become permanent now, see the show license output command below:
