Hi,
I have a question. My 3750x switch rebooted by itself like 6 to 8 times a day. After the reboot, I noticed in the log that there is a link-flap to 1 of the interface. Can link-flap cause the switch to reboot?
Thank you,
Zeeeee

Anything is possible if you consider what might happen if you are experiencing a bug, but this certainly shouldn't happen. I would tend to ensure that you are running the latest stable (recommended) code level. After this, ensure that you are not running any impacting EEM functionality. Finally, take steps to reduce the impact of an interface flap, e.g. if appropriate: Implement Control Plane Policing, Implement dampening, use BFD for rapid failure detection rather than over tuning routing protocols, and limit logging and trapping to only the levels that you need.
Hope this helps,
Dave

Hi Leo,
I do not have access to the switch now. Will post to you as soon as I can.
In the meantime, i have read some other posts and you had mentioned that 12.2(55)SE8 is reliable. May need your advise on the type of bootloader for this IOS.

Zeeeee
