Hi together,
i have trouble withe a 3850 withe the Modul c3850-NM-4-10G and the 1000BaseZX SFP. The Link stay down in the Switch. But thats not all. The SFP is working in an other Switch (3650) very well. The Port is also identified by the Switch. The transceiver detail looking also good. So i have no idea any more. Maybe you can give me some advices for troubleshooting or (that would be great yeeaahhh) a solution.
Thank you
Edvard Franke
and here are the details about the 3850 Switch

We did eventually find the issue. It turned out to be a bug not on our side, but on the Carrier's ME3600X that we were connecting to. Our 3750X and ASR routers using the same cables, same SFP optic, same XC pair, same everything both connected fine. Apparently we hit a little known bug on the ME3600X platform.

i have open a TAC Case for that...

we got nothing...

But there is no BugID or?

Did you ever get a response to this as I have a friend experiancing the same exact issue. The sfp works in another switch and router but shows down down in the 3850 but up up on the other side.

Hi,
we get no solution for this Problem, because we have a workaround and have not enought time for test with the TAC. The TAC has no idea why it haoppend. We will reopen the case, why we get more time for troubleshooting. Please give me your feedback or mybe a solution.
thx
