Link won't come up between 4503E and 4507R

I have a 4503E switch with Supervisor 7L-E installed currently connected via multimode fiber from the tengig1/1 port on the supervisor to gi0/52 on a 3560G.  I need to move the connection to one of the gig ports on the redudant supervisor of a 4507R that has a Supervisor II+ installed in it.  For some reason though I can not get the link to come up.  There is no problem getting inteface 2/1 on the 4507R to come up while connected to other switches but not while connected to the 4503E.  Both the 4507R and 4503E will work with other switches but not with each other.  We have tested all the gbics, sfp's, and cables with no problems.  I believe there is some issue going on here between the two supervisors, capatibility issue but have not been able to find anything specific.  Has anyone else run into such a problem?

Also, is it acceptible to treat the uplink ports on the supervisors the same as any other port (access or trunk) save for the fact that they have access to the switch fabric and are non-blocking?

From a TenGig port (Sup7) to a Gig port on a 3560G?  It won't work.  Both sides must be the same speed.

Leo is correct, you can try using the speed nonegotiate command on both sides.

Please let us know the results.

Oh Sorry, I did not notice you are connecting a 10GB interface to a 1 GB, it will not work, you can convert the 10 gi interface of the supervisor to a 1 gi port.

" Supervisor  Engine 7L-E has two modes (One-Gigabit and  Ten-Gigabit), which can be  changed from Ten-Gigabit to One-Gigabit, or  One-Gigabit to 10-Gigabit by  entering the hw-module uplink select [gigabitethernet | tengigabitethernet] command and then reloading the shelf . By default, Supervisor Engine 7L-E is in Ten-Gigabit mode"

Also :

"Supervisor  Engine 7L-E supports two Ten-Gigabit  ports in Ten-Gigabit mode and  four One-Gigabit ports in One Gigabit mode  non blocking. SFP+  transceivers are not be supported in 1 Gigabit mode."

It's currently working connected to the 3560G.  It's only when I transfer the connection from the 3560G to the 4507R that it doesn't work.  We currently have a 1000BaseSX SFP plugged into TenGig1/1 on the 4503R and a 1000BaseSX SFP    in gi0/52 on the 3560G.  I'm trying to connect to a 1000BaseSx GBIC inserted in interface gi2/1 on a 4507R

Config from 4503R:

Please send me the show module for the 4507, show int status, also, show interface gi 2/1 transceiver.

Try using the command speed nonegotiate on both interfaces as well.

Thanks!,

I do not see the command show interface gi 2/1 transceiver.  Here is the rest:
