Hi,
I'm purchasing an extra switch for the current WS-C3750G-12S-E stacks. Currently it has c3750-advipservicesk9-mz.122-35.SE1.bin which I believe this is considered as EMI. (Yes, I know the diff between SMI/EMI)
What I'm currently confused is, I need purchase this WS-C3750G-48PS-E model which the IOS is "IPS Image". To have the same IOS as
WS-C3750G-12S-E (c3750-advipservicesk9-mz.122-35.SE1.bin) I will need to purchase an upgrade.
The Configuration tool provides these two parts
CD-3750G-48EMI= Enhanced Multilayer Image upgrade for 48-port 3750 GE models
and
LL-3750G-EMI= Enhanced Multilayer SW Image License for 3750 GE models
From Cisco Doco http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps5718/ps5023/prod_qas09186a00801b0971.html it mentions below.
Q. Does it cost more for a Layer 3 or special-features license?
A. The Cisco Catalyst 3750-24TS-E, 3750-24PS-E, 3750-48TS-E, 3750-48PS-E, 3750G-24T-E, 3750G-24TS-E, 3750G-24TS-E1U, 3750G-24PS-E, 3750G-48TS-E, 3750G-48PS-E, 3750G-16TD-E, and 3750G-12S-E are loaded with the IP Services Software Image which is included in the standard list price. However, the Cisco Catalyst 3750-24TS-S, 3750-24PS-S, 3750-24FS-S, 3750-48TS-S, 3750-48PS-S, 3750G-24T-S, 3750G-24TS-S, 3750G-24TS-S1U, 3750G-24PS-S, 3750G-48TS-S, 3750G-48PS-S, 3750G-16TD-S, 3750G-12S-S, and 3750G-12S-SD switches are loaded with the IP Base Software Image. Cisco Catalyst 3750-24TS-S, 3750-24TS-S1U, and 3750-48TS-S can be upgraded to the IP Services Software Image with the purchase of the IP Services Software Image upgrade kit (part number CD-3750-EMI=) for $1995. The Cisco Catalyst 3750G-24T-S, 3750G-24TS-S, 3750G-16TD-S, 3750G-12S-S, and 3750G-12S-SD can be upgraded to the IP Services Software Image with the purchase of the IP Services Software Image upgrade kit for 24 port or less 3750GE models (part number CD-3750G-EMI=) for $3995. The Cisco Catalyst 3750G-48T-S and the 3750G-48PS-S can be upgraded to the IP Services Software Image with the purchase of the IP Services Software Image upgrade kit for 48 port 3750GE models (part number CD-3750G-48EMI=) for $7995. The IP Base Software Image includes RIP and static routing. For dynamic IP routing features (BGPv4, OSFP, EIGRP, IGRP), the IP Services Image is required.
My Questions are:
1. So, Since I need to purchase only CD-3750G-48EMI= instead of LL-3750G-EMI=, what does LL-3750G-EMI= use for?
2. If I choose to purchase CD-3750G-48EMI= with the switch, will I get the switch loaded with the appropriate IOS c3750-advipservicesk9-mz.122-35.SE1.bin or
3. will I get c3750-advipservicesk9-mz.122-35.SEX where X is the latest version of this IOS (Currently 5 instead of 1)
4. Can downgrade it from SE5 to SE1 without need to re-apply the licensing?
5. If I get c3750-advipservicesk9-mz.122-35.SE5, will my switch stacks with c3750-advipservicesk9-mz.122-35.SE1?
6. If I choose to purchase CD-3750G-48EMI= will this IOS installed or it comes with a CD that I need to run the upgrade myself?
Thanks before hand for your assistance.
Addition. This link actually shows 3 IOS IPBASE, IPServices, and Advance IP Services. How can I upgrade from IPServices to Advance IP Service?

I believe the two items is how your IOS will be delivered: e-delivery or physical copy.
2. If I choose to purchase CD-3750G-48EMI= with the switch, will I get the switch loaded with the appropriate IOS c3750-advipservicesk9-mz.122-35.SE1.bin or
No. The switch will be loaded with the IOS of the day.
4. Can downgrade it from SE5 to SE1 without need to re-apply the licensing?
Yes.
5. If I get c3750-advipservicesk9-mz.122-35.SE5, will my switch stacks with c3750-advipservicesk9-mz.122-35.SE1?
Yes.

Thanks Leolaohoo,
I added CD-3750G-48EMI (with or without "=") in CIsco Configuration Tool (Ordering Page) but it says "Product Not Found,
The item CD-3750G-48EMI= you have entered is not a valid option for this model. Please check your entry and try again."

You don't need the "CD" because once you've paid for the license you can download the software from the web.

Thanks Leolaohoo,
I've thought of that CD means the physical CD delivered with the switch. But Thanks for confirming.
I've actually tried to use LL-3750G-EMI but still no joy.
