I have cisco catalyst 6509 with 2 x WS-X6k-SUP2-2GE. on the supervisor module is a switchload led indicator .
I switch has never load according to load indicator.
Do i need to enable this in the switch config.
The switch is running catos

Hello,
Did not find uch about except that it seems that SWITCHLOAD led's will
not turn on untill there is a minimum load of 10 to 15 % on chassi even if scale of 1 to 100.
No config is needed to enable it afaik.

This is on by default and need not be enabled explicitly.More than likely you will not see much on this unless you are pushing a considerable amount of traffic through the Catalyst. "show system" (with CatOS) or "show cat" (with Native IOS) will show you your Peak Backplane Utilization during it's up time. If this number is not over about 8% you would not even see one bar on this indicator.
