I would say Bgp is built for route prevention due to its ebgp as-path validation and for ibgp not allowing prefixs from other ibgp routers to be advertised
However saying that it depends on what route redistribution you are performing etc...to possible negate this.
E.g.: You can possible introduce loop in bgp via summarisation if you not careful due to losing is as-path information when the summary advertised and the receiving router cannot tell where the prefix originated from
