Hello
for such a large network one crude way but effective is to work from you r core and work outwards
I guess connectivity is dropping? - if so apply some extended pings and then from the core disconnect each uplink to the access closet and if the ping become stable you then know where to look next and so on
In the long run applying storm control on the network with some port security would benifical.

Hi,
There is no any direct method to view broadcast storm. You should be check and verify switch logs, switch configuration, switch port utilization, and STP status. As you mentioned that you have hundreds of switches then it is easy to use network monitoring tool as PRTG to find out the root cause.
This is my suggestion that you should configure Spanning tree storm control on every switch. It will help you to downtime of the network during the broadcast storm.
