loss of startup configuration with routers

Our clients claims the problem of loss startup configuration with power outage especially with 877 series , all the router are configured to store configuration in NVRAM ( confreg = 0x2101),  is there any solution to by pass this issue.

Can you set it to 0x2102 and do a write mem?

Router(config)#config-register 0x2102

sorry I wa wrong the confreg is not 0x2101 but  0x2102 , but even the register is well configured I have the problem of loss configuration with many clients.

When the routers came back up were they in ROMMON mode or did they come up with the factory default config asking if you wanted to configure with the wizard?

If using 0x2102 then make sure it has a correct boot statement pointing to the used image.
