Hi
I have configured mac access list in 4948 switch, but it is not working. Below is the configuration.
mac access-list extended test
permit host xxxx.xxxx.xxxx any
permit host xxxx.xxxx.xxxx any
interface GigabitEthernet1/7
mac access-group test in
Can any one please Help on above problem.it is not working only on 4948 switches, where as the same configuration works on 3550 switches.

MAC Address Filtering and MAC Based Access List features support starts only since 12.2(50)SG IOS release for Cat4948. Please see the document beneath:

Hi,
Upgraded the switch to cat4500-entservicesk9-mz.150-2.SG10.bin, but still the mac address is not working on the switch.
Any suggestions please

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. I am sure you understand that MAC ACL can be used to filter non-IP traffic only. This configuration can interfere with other features. Have you configured any VACL? Can you please post the full config of your Gi1/7 interface?
