Hi all
According to the catalyst 3750 datasheet, we would be able to configure up the MAC address table size to 12K entries.
1st question: How could I find the actual size of our MAC address table ?
2nd question: How could we do that ?
Thanks for your help ...

Hi Francois,
To see the maximum size you can fit in mac-address table
you can use the following command :
lan-3750-1# sh sdm prefer
The current template is "desktop default" template.
The selected template optimizes the resources in
the switch to support this level of features for
8 routed interfaces and 1024 VLANs.
number of unicast mac addresses: 6K
number of IPv4 IGMP groups + multicast routes: 1K
number of IPv4 unicast routes: 8K
number of directly-connected IPv4 hosts: 6K
number of indirect IPv4 routes: 2K
number of IPv4 policy based routing aces: 0
number of IPv4/MAC qos aces: 0.5K
number of IPv4/MAC security aces: 1K
----> here mac-address table size if 6k.
and you can tune it to another profile using : sdm prefer ... config command
More info in :
TO see the actual number of mac in the table use : sh mac-address-table count
