Mainboard hardware authentication failed. Abort init …

Hello,

Required your support on below,

We had deployed C9300 five(05) switches at one location.

Two days ago, The power issue occur  and the UPS Shutdown,

After fixing the power issue and when power up the switches again, Three(03) switches generated the below log.

Mainboard hardware authentication failed. Abort init

We tried to upload the new IOS image on flash (from USB and tftp), But unfortunately the switch booted up again and again.

Kindly advise, how could we sort out this issue?

What firmware is the stack running on?

Hi Leo,

It is an individual switch connected with 2 x 10Gig uplinks to distribution switch.

At the moment switch is out of network and in rommon mode.

switch: dir flash:

cat9k-cc_srdriver.16.09.04.SPA.pkg

cat9k-esbase.16.09.04.SPA.pkg

cat9k-guestshell.16.09.04.SPA.pkg

cat9k-rpbase.16.09.04.SPA.pkg

cat9k-sipbase.16.09.04.SPA.pkg

cat9k-srdriver.16.09.04.SPA.pkg

cat9k-webui.16.09.04.SPA.pkg

cat9k-wlc.16.09.04.SPA.pkg

cat9k-rpboot.16.09.04.SPA.pkg

One strange thing that we did not notice Catalyst L3 Switch Software (CAT9K_IOSXE), Version 16.9.4 (16.09.04.SPA.bin) file while we do dir flash:

Also, at the same time we tried same command in working switch we did not see .bin file

Could you please help us to resolve this issue ASAP.

Let me try this again, post the complete output to the command "dir flash:".
