Hey, all:

When you do a show hardware in 3800 router,

you get one line like:

Cisco 3825 (revision 1.0) with 487424K/36864K bytes of memory.

What is these two number accurate meanings?

Thanks,

Han

Hi,

The First Number : 487424K

It represents the "main memory"

The Second Number : 36864K

It represents the "IO memory" ( shared memory)

So it has total of : 512 MB of memory .
