Hi All my company is moving away from Meraki and on to traditional architectural of locally managed switching & routing

I think I already know the answer but thought I’d ask anyway.

Will a MV12WE Meraki Camera with other cisco equipment i.e 3850 switches

that’s great news but i thought i needed a license for every piece of Meraki hardware

Each of your cameras still need to have a license, but you can connect it to any network regardless of vendor.

The licenses are subscription based right?

Sorry I’m not familiar with Meraki or the licensing side of it

Yes, just go to Organization -> Licensing and you should see the amount of MV licenses you have and the remaining subscription time.

Thanks Karsten what happens when the license expires will the Camera be unusable ?

At least this is what is documented and what you should expect. But I also had a meraki-org that was running over half a year without valid license. I expect this was more a bug than a feature.
